HØMESTEAD
Nashville-based development studio creating homes at the intersection of architecture, wellness, and longevity.
Homes that heal.
We build spaces for how the human Brain and Body respond to an environment.
-
Your home is constantly communicating with your nervous system. The air you breathe, light you experience, sounds you hear, materials you touch, and spaces you move through can influence how you feel, sleep, recover, connect, and ultimately how well you live.
-
HØMESTEAD begins with a simple belief: the spaces we live in shape the way we feel. We develop and build homes from the human outward, considering how light, air, water, sound, materials, nature, and architecture interact with the body and nervous system. From circadian-supporting lighting and cleaner air and water to restorative bedrooms, movement spaces, sauna, cold plunge, and environments designed for gathering, every element is intentionally considered to support better sleep, deeper recovery, daily movement, and meaningful connection. Built to look beautiful. Designed to make you feel better.
-
Every HØMESTEAD brings architecture, technology, and wellness together. These elements work quietly in the background to shape the way you move, gather, heal, and recover. We don't add wellness to our homes. We design our homes around it.
how OUR SPACES SHAPE YOUR WELLBEING.
How our spaces shape your wellbeing.
Grounded
The materials we live with every day shape both the sensory experience of a home and the quality of the environment within it.
Reset
Natural materials, thoughtful acoustics, warm light, simplicity, and connection to nature create spaces designed to feel restorative.
Recover
Sauna, cold plunge, restorative spaces, and intentional environments make recovery accessible without leaving home.
Breathe
Advanced filtration and ventilation systems quietly work in the background to create cleaner indoor air.
Gather
Meaningful connection is foundational to wellbeing. We design spaces that naturally bring people together, because the relationships we build can shape how we feel, recover, and ultimately how well we live.
Sleep
Biohacked bedrooms designed around temperature, acoustics, air quality, and circadian rhythms to support deeper, more restorative sleep.
Move
Dedicated spaces for strength, mobility, yoga, meditation, and movement make taking care of your body part of everyday life.
-
The next generation of residential design will consider human wellbeing as deeply as architecture, technology, and aesthetics.
— Joshua Ellis, HØMESTEAD
-
“This is neuroarchitecture: designing efficient environments based not only on technical parameters... but also on subjective indices such as emotion, happiness and well-being.”
— ArchDaily
-
“Our brain’s senses, perceptions, thoughts, emotions and actions respond to the air we breathe, the quality of light, the intensity of sound and the color, texture and dimension of all places.”
— Eve Edelstein, Human Experience Lab
